"The Collies In Our Lives" 

is a 100 page booklet of stories, writings, anecdotes, 
artwork, and poems, mostly taken from the Collie-list,
by generous permission of the authors. 

** Inspired by a similar sheltie-list book project 
which netted over $3000 for sheltie rescue **

 The cost of this book was $6 per copy
-all proceeds went to benefit Collie Rescue. 

The first edition in 1999 sold over 250 copies and made 
over $1500 for Collies in need.

I selected only 5 Collie Rescue groups to benefit from the sale of the book. I limited the number of beneficiaries in order to make the donated proceeds of this book substantial enough to be of maximum help. The groups I  selected were chosen to represent a variety of geographical areas of the US and Canada.  It was up to the book buyers to determine how the proceeds were to be distributed among the 5 groups.  (for a final accounting of books sold and distribution of moneys paid to rescue groups- go to bottom of page)

I had pledged to produce 250 copies of this book (if there were orders for that many) at my own expense - all proceeds to go to the 5 chosen Collie Rescues.  More than that amount were sold, resulting in  over  $1500 going to Collie Rescue.

In 2000 I printed a limited quantity of an expanded 2nd edition of the book which contained a bit of additional material.  I donated 20 copies of this 2nd edition both to Collie Rescue League of New England and to Central Valley Collie & Sheltie Rescue (in California.)  
I am currently not planning to print another edition, due to 
other commitments, but I will not rule out the possibility of a 3rd
edition at some point in the future.
